New High-Level Administrative Posts for Eight Women at Colleges and Universities

LeChelle Davenport was appointed director of financial aid at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She was the director of financial aid operations at Midwest/Delta Technical Colleges.

Davenport is a graduate of Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned a master’s degree in organizational management from Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Pamela Franks was named the Class of 1956 Director of the Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Dr. Franks has been serving as the senior deputy director at the Yale University Art Gallery.

Dr. Franks holds a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Texas at Austin.

Cynthia Anderson was appointed associate vice president for development in the Division of University Advancement at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She was chief development officer for the southern region of the American College of Rheumatology Research Foundation in Atlanta.

Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She earned an MBA at Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon.

Gabrielle Buckley is the new director of the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership at Loyola University in Chicago. She is a partner at Vedder Price, specializing in immigration law. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Buckley is a graduate of Mundelein College, which merged into Loyola University in 1991. She earned her law degree at DePaul University.

Melanie Cuevas-Rodriguez was appointed equal opportunity and Title IX investigator in the Office of Equal Opportunity, Inclusion and Resolution Services at Syracuse University in New York. She joined the staff at the university in 2005 as assistant director of career services.

Cuevas-Rodriguez is a graduate of Binghamton University in New York and holds a master’s degree in public administration and a juris doctorate from Syracuse University.

Nancy Resnick was named director of human resources at the University of California, San Diego. Since 2015, she has been serving as associate vice president and  chief human resources officer at the University of Oregon. Earlier, she was associate director of human resources at Humboldt State University in California.

Resnick is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she majored in history. She earned a juris doctorate at the University of California, San Francisco.

Bindu Jayne will be the new Title IX coordinator at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She has been serving as assistant vice president for equity and diversity and Title IX coordinator at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Jayne is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Julie Hite was promoted to assistant vice president and director of admission at Rice University in Houston, Texas. She has been serving as director of the enrollment management operations center at the university. Earlier in her career, Hite was an admissions officer at the University of South Florida.

Hite is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she majored in psychology. She earned a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
