Wellesley College’s New Website Highlighting Faculty Research

The Office of Sponsored Research at Wellesley College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution for women in Massachusetts, has launched a new webpage highlighting the multitude of research projects underway among the faculty of the college.

The new webpage aims to publicize the path-breaking and creative work of faculty from across the college and to celebrate the many competitive fellowships, grants, and awards Wellesley faculty receive throughout the year. The research is organized by academic discipline.

The research is widely diverse. When WIAReport visited the site recently, some of the feature projects were:

  • Using Organic Synthesis and Natural Product-derived Scaffolds to Identify Novel Anticancer Agents
  • Trauma, Disruption, Reinvention: Exile Film in Austria, 1933-1937
  • Losing Laroche: The Story of the Only Black Passenger on the Titanic
  • Characterization and Design of Histone-Derived Antimicrobial Peptides
  • Rhythms of Grease, Grime, Glass, and Glitter: The Body in Contemporary Black Art
  • Puffy Planets, Hot Host Stars
  • Navigating the End of Life in the Tibetan Diaspora
