Grants or Gifts Relating to Women in Higher Education

Here is this week’s news of grants and gifts that may be of particular interest to women in higher education.

East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, received a $236,000 grant from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the Pfizer Independent Grants for Learning and Change for programs to enhance care for breast cancer patients in rural areas of eastern North Carolina.

Bryn Mawr College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution for women in Pennsylvania, received a substantial gift from alumna Joanna Berwind Creamer to support research at the college’s Graduate School of Social Work.
