Five Women Taking on New Administrative Positions at Colleges and Universities

Abby Davis was appointed director of the Eastin Center for Career Readiness in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. She has been serving as the people development partner for Charles Machine Works Inc.

A native of Pittsburgh, Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in management and an MBA from Oklahoma State University.

Moryah Jackson was named director of diversity education in the Office of Inclusion and Equity at Clemson University in South Carolina. She has been serving as the assistant director of diversity, inclusion and community engagement at the University of South Carolina.

Jackson is a graduate of Columbia College in South Carolina. She earned a master of public administration degree from the University of South Carolina and is working on a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Florida.

Amanda Herman is the new interim education curator at the University Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has been an adjunct instructor in photography, art, and social practice.

Herman holds a master of fine arts degree in social practice from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.

Diana Elrod was appointed director of the new Center for Student Research at Texas Woman’s University. She has been serving as a visiting faculty member in anatomy and physiology since 2008.

Dr. Eldord holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in biology from the University of North Texas.

Kijua Sanders-McMurty was named the inaugural vice president for equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, effective August 6. She currently serves as associate vice president and dean for community diversity at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia.

Dr. Sanders-McMurty dropped out of high school in California. She later earned an associate’s degree at Pasadena City College and went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology and a doctorate in educational policy studies from Georgia State University.
