New Duties for Six Women Faculty Members at State Universities

Breanna Krueger has joined the faculty at the University of Wyoming as an assistant professor of communication disorders in the College of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on speech sound disorders.

Dr. Krueger is a graduate of the University of Wyoming, where she majored in Spanish language and literature. She holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology from the University of Kansas.

Ming C. Lin has appointed the Elizabeth Stevinson Iribe Chair of the department of computer science at the University of Maryland, College Park. For the past 20 years she has taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, most recently as the John R. and Louise S. Parker Distinguished Professor of Computer Science.

Professor Lin holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science, all from the University of California, Berkeley.

Nicole Rader, a professor of sociology at Mississippi State University, has been given the added duties of associate dean for academic affairs in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences. She has served in this post on an interim basis for more than a year. Dr. Rader is a co-author of the book Fear of Crime in the United States: Causes, Consequences, and Contradictions (Carolina Academic Press, 2014).

Professor Rader is a graduate of Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, where she majored in criminal justice. She holds a master’s degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, and a Ph.D. in sociology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Terri Goss Kinzy, a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology and vice president for research at Rutgers University in New Jersey, was appointed as vice president for research at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.

Dr. Kinzy is a graduate of the University of Akron in Ohio and holds a doctoral degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Lynne Aspnes will join the faculty of the School of Music at Arizona State University in the fall of 2018. She is a professor emerita of harp at the University of Michigan, From 2007 to 2009, Professor Aspnes was associate dean of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. She is the founder of the American Harp Center in Michigan.

Professor Aspnes holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a doctor of musical arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

Cynthia Czajkowski, a professor of neuroscience in the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison was named interim associate vice president for research in the biological sciences at the university.

Dr. Czajkowski has been on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin for 23 years. She holds a Ph.D. from the Downstate Medical Center of the State University of New York.
