Four Women Faculty Members Who Are Taking on New Assignments

Tatiana Sanses was appointed an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the College of Medicine at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She will also serve as a pelvic reconstructive surgeon at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Sanses previously served on the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Dr. Sanses is a graduate of the Minsk State Institute of Medicine in Belarus. She completed her residency in OBGYN at Georgetown University. Dr. Sanses is currently studying for a master’s degree in clinical research at the University of Maryland.

Christina M. Greer, associate professor of political science at Fordham University in New York, was named the 2018 McSilver Fellow in Residence at the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at the School of Social Work of New York University. Dr. Greer is the author of Black Ethnics: Race, Immigration, and the Pursuit of the American Dream (Oxford University Press, 2013).

Dr. Greer is a graduate of Tufts University in Massachusetts. She holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University in New York City.

Nancy Small is a new assistant professor in the department of English at the University of Wyoming. Since 2013, she has served on the faculty at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Small holds a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology and a master’s degree in English from Texas A&M University. She earned a Ph.D. in rhetoric and technical communication at Texas Tech University.

Erika Lorraine Milam was promoted to full professor of history at Princeton University in New Jersey. She joined the faculty at Princeton in 2012 after teaching at the University of Maryland.

Professor Milam is a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she majored in biology. She holds a master’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan and a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. in the history of science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
