Texas Woman’s University Partners With Shandong Women’s University in China

Texas Woman’s University has entered into a partnership with Shandong Women’s University in China. Under the agreement the two universities have agreed to cooperate in research, create joint academic events, and establish undergraduate exchange programs for five years.

Barbara Lerner, vice provost for undergraduate studies and academic partnerships at Texas Woman’s University, stated that “international partnerships such as this provide opportunities for students and faculty to learn from, and share with, colleagues around the world. TWU and SWU share a common mission — to support and educate women leaders. We are committed to working together to develop a sustaining relationship.”

Texas Woman’s University is a coeducational institution. But women continue to make up 87 percent of the more than 10,000-member undergraduate student body.
