A Half Dozen Women Who Are Taking on New Administrative Duties in Higher Education

Zillah M. Fluker is the new vice president for institutional advancement at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama. She is the former vice president for institutional advancement at Alabama State University in Montgomery.

A native of Zimbabwe, Fluker is a graduate of Alabama State University. She holds a master’s degree and an MBA from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and is completing work on a doctorate in educational leadership at Alabama State University.

Marianne Eileen Wardle has been named director of the University of Wyoming Art Museum, effective January 29. She was curator of academic initiatives at the Nasher Museum of Art on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Dr. Wardle is a graduate of Utah State University, where she majored in French and art history. She holds a master’s degree in art history from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a Ph.D. in art history from Duke University.

Baylee Long was promoted to assistant director for programs and constituent relations for the Alumni Association of the University of Southern Mississippi. Since 2015, she has served as manager of programs for the association.

A native of Athens, Texas, Long holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She earned a master’s degree in higher education student personnel from the University of Mississippi.

Frances Teves was named director of governmental and community relations for California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She was chief of operations for university advancement at California State University, Fullerton.

Teves is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Southern California.

Christina Presberry was appointed executive director of campus safety and security at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Before joining the staff at Johns Hopkins, Presberry served for 31 years in the Harford County Sheriff’s Department in Maryland.

Presberry holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in management from Johns Hopkins University.

Erin Wolf is the inaugural associate director of international travel and safety at Princeton University in New Jersey. Since 2015 she has been an international risk and insurance analyst for the University of Texas System.

A former Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia, Wolf holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She earned a master’s degree in interpersonal communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
