Angela Barlow Is the New Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Central Arkansas

Angela BarlowThe University of Central Arkansas in Conway has announced that Angela T. Barlow is the new dean of the Graduate School. According to the latest data supplied by the U.S. Department of Education, there are nearly 1,900 graduate students on campus.

Dr. Barlow had been serving as director of the mathematics and science education doctoral program at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. Earlier in her career, Dr. Barlow held faculty posts at the University of Mississippi and the University of West Georgia. She serves as editor of the NCSM Journal of Mathematics Education Leadership.

Upon accepting her new position, Dr. Barlow said that “as graduate dean, I see my role as being a supporter of faculty who are providing transformative experiences for their students and an advocate for graduate students who want to influence the world in a positive way. My goal is to have the University of Central Arkansas be the destination for excellence in graduate education.”

Dr. Barlow holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education, a master’s degree in mathematics education, a master’s degree in applied mathematics, and a doctorate in mathematics education, all from Auburn University in Alabama.
