Lyn Brodersen Cochran Appointed President of Scott Community College in Iowa

Lyn Broderson CochranLyn Brodersen Cochran was appointed president of Scott Community College in Bettendorf, Iowa. The college is one of three campuses of the Eastern Iowa Community College District. The system enrolls about 8,400 students and women make up 55 percent of the student body.

Dr. Brodersen Cochran has been serving as an administrator for the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Services. She also lectured at Drake University and Iowa State University. Earlier in her career, Dr. Brodersen Cochran served as vice president for academic and student affairs at North Iowa Community College in Mason City and as dean of the College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

Dr. Brodersen Cochran earned a doctorate at the School of Education at Iowa State University.
