Meg Amstutz to Lead the College of Coastal Georgia

The College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick announced that Meg Amstutz will assume the role of interim president on July 1, after current president Greg Aloia retires. The College of Coastal Georgia enrolls about 3,100 students, all in undergraduate programs. Women make up 66 percent of the student body.

Dr. Amstutz currently serves as associate provost for academic programs at the University of Georgia and is a professor of English. Earlier she served for 10 years as assistant to the president of the University of Georgia and then six years as chief of staff for the university’s president.

Dr. Amstutz is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
