University of Saint Joseph to Offer Free Master’s Degree Program in Management

University of Saint JosephThe University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut, is offering students in its undergraduate programs for women a unique opportunity to pursue a free graduate education. Under the new plan, entering women students who major in accounting or management and maintain their grades at a high level can gain free entry into the university’s master’s degree program in management. The 36-credit master’s degree program costs nearly $28,000 in tuition.

The university hopes the new master’s degree opportunity will greatly increase the undergraduate student population at the university, particularly in business programs. Nationwide as many as 25 percent of all undergraduate degrees are earned in business disciplines. But at the University of St. Joseph, only 5 percent of undergraduate students are enrolled in business majors.

The university enrolls less than 1,000 undergraduate students in degree programs reserved for women. There are more than 1,500 student enrolled in the university’s co-educational graduate programs.
