New Administrative Roles for Six Women at Colleges and Universities

tracy-mcgrady-otcTracy McGrady was appointed provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri. She has been serving as dean of academic and student affairs at the college’s Richwood Valley campus. Dr. McGrady has been on staff at the college since 2001.

Dr. McGrady holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in communication from Missouri State University. She earned an educational doctorate from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.

Diane Wiener PortraitDiane R. Wiener, director of the Disability Cultural Center at Syracuse University, has been given the added duty as co-chair of the new Council on Diversity and Inclusion at the university. Dr. Wiener joined the staff at the university in 2011 after serving on the faculty at Binghamton University of the State University of New York System.

Dr. Wiener is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey. She holds a master of social work degree from Yeshiva University in New York City and a Ph.D. in comparative cultural and literary studies from the University of Arizona.

lindabeckhalliburtonLinda Beck Halliburton is the new director of Graduate Business and Executive Education Programs in the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota. She previously served on the staff at the University of Minnesota.

Halliburton is a graduate of Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She earned a master’s degree at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and has completed coursework for a Ph.D. in organizational leadership and policy development from the University of Minnesota.

kornelia Kornelia Tancheva was named the Hillman University Librarian and the director of the university library system at the University of Pittsburgh. She has been serving as associate university librarian for research and learning services at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Tancheva will begin her new job on May 1.

Dr. Tancheva holds master’s degrees from Cornell University, Syracuse University, and Sofia University in Bulgaria. She earned a Ph.D. in American drama and theatre from Cornell University.

WC - Alumni Weekend 2012Stephanie Krauth is the new associate vice president for student engagement at Texas Woman’s University. She was vice president for student affairs at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri.

Dr. Krauth is a graduate of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. She holds a master’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and a doctorate in educational and leadership policy studies from Iowa State University.

Angie LeidingerAngie Leidinger was promoted to vice president for external affairs at Clemson University in South Carolina. She joined the staff at the university in 2002 as executive director of governmental affairs and in 2008 became executive secretary to the university’s board of trustees.

Leidinger is a graduate of Clemson University.
