Linda Manning Named Director of the University of Alabama Press

manning-lindaLinda Manning has been appointed director of the University of Alabama Press, effective August 1. The University of Alabama Press is the only academic press in the state of Alabama. It publishes about 70 to 75 titles each year.

Since 2013, Manning has been serving as director of the Northern Illinois University Press in DeKalb, which has about 600 titles currently in print. From 2010 to 2013, Manning was director of marketing for the University of Utah Press. Earlier she held several marketing positions at the Northern Illinois University Press.

Manning holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Illinois University.
