Website Offers Its Choices for the Best Women’s Colleges in the United States

2016-Ranking-of-Best-U.S.-Women’s-Colleges-300x270The website College Choice recently released its rankings of the Best Women’s College in the United States in 2016. The website ranked the women’s colleges based on academic reputation, financial aid offerings, overall cost, and success of graduates in the job market.

A year ago, Wellesley College in Massachusetts was rated the best women’s college. Smith College ranked second with Barnard College placing third, and Bryn Mawr College in fourth place. This year, Wellesley and Smith retained their spots atop the rankings but Bryn Mawr took the third spot with Barnard College dropping to fourth.

Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, ranked fifth in the College Choice rankings. Rounding out the top 10 were Simmons College in Boston, Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Saint Catherine University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio, and Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Scripps College in Claremont, California, which ranked 29th among all liberal arts colleges in the United States in the most recent rankings by U.S. News & World Report (the same spot held by Barnard College, ranking third on the College Choice list), did not make the top 10 in College Choice’s rankings of the best women’s colleges. Scripps College ranked 16th on the College Choice list, up one spot from a year ago.
