University of South Florida Executive Is the New Leader of NASFAA

Billie Jo HamiltonBillie Jo Hamilton, assistant vice president of enrollment planning and management and director of university scholarships and financial aid services at the University of South Florida in Tampa, was elected chair of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). The organization represents nearly 20,000 student financial assistance professionals at approximately 3,000 colleges, universities, and career schools across the country. NASFAA member institutions serve nine out of every ten undergraduates in the United States.

Hamilton joined the staff at the University of South Florida in 2008 and was promoted to her current position in 2014. She is responsible for the distribution of more than $408 million in federal, state, and institutional funds to more than 39,000 student recipients. Before joining the staff at the University of South Florida, Hamilton was the financial aid director at Southern Illinois University.

Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration from Pittsburg State University in Kansas.
