Colgate University Scholar Honored by the Conference on Latin American History

heather-rollerHeather Roller, an assistant professor of history at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, received the Howard F. Cline Memorial Prize from the Conference on Latin AmericaRollerBookn History. The Howard F. Cline Memorial Prize, established in 1976, is awarded biennially (in odd years) to the book or article in English, German, or a Romance language judged to make the most significant contribution to the history of indigenous people in Latin America.

Dr. Roller was honored for her book Amazonian Routes: Indigenous Mobility and Colonial Communities in Northern Brazil (Stanford University Press, 2014).

Dr. Roller is a 2002 graduate of Yale University. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
