Two Women Business Scholars Named Executive Editors of a Prestigious Journal

chrie_logo_blue copyThe Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research is quarterly publication of the International Council of Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Education. Beginning next year, the journal will publish six issues a year. Two women scholars have been appointed as executive editors of the journal and will serve in that role until the end of 2020.

Shea, Linda CROPLinda Shea is a professor of hospitality and tourism management and associate dean of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Professor Shea holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration education from the University of Northern Colorado. She holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

mjohansonhspMisty Johnson is professor and director of the School of Hospitality Leadership in the College of Business at DePaul University in Chicago. She holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from Michigan State University. Dr. Johnson is the co-editor of Hospitality: An Introduction (Kendall Hunt Publishing, 2011), now in its 14th edition.
