Frances Bronet Is the New Provost at the Illinois Institute of Technology

bronetFrances Bronet is the new provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Women are only 30 percent of the approximately 3,000 undergraduate students at the university.

Bronet has been serving as acting provost at the University of Oregon since August 2014. Previously, she was dean of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts at the University of Oregon. From 1985 to 2005, Bronet served on the faculty at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

Bronet holds three bachelor’s degrees from McGill University in Montreal. She earned a master of science degree in architecture from Columbia University.
