Rose-Marie Muzika Is a Finalist for Dean of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia

muzika-rThe University of Georgia has announced a slate of four finalists for dean of the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. All four candidates will visit the Athens campus by the end of the month for interviews and public forums. One of four finalists is a woman.

Rose-Marie Muzika is a professor of forest ecology and associate director of the School of Natural Resources at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She has served on the faculty at the university since 1998. Earlier, she was a research ecologist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Professor Muzika is a graduate of Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania, where she majored in biology. She holds a master’s degree in biology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in forestry from Michigan State University.
