Nancy Brickhouse Appointed Provost at Saint Louis University

Brickhouse_Nancy-2012Nancy Brickhouse has been selected as the next provost at Saint Louis University in Missouri. She currently serves as deputy provost for academic affairs at the University of Delaware. She will begin her new duties on July 1.

Dr. Brickhouse has been on the faculty at the University of Delaware for 27 years. She was promoted to associate professor in 1994 and to full professor in 2002. Dr. Brickhouse has served as interim provost, deputy dean of the College of Education, and director of the School of Education.

In announcing the appointment, Fred P. Pestello, president of Saint Louis University, said, “Nancy Brickhouse is a talented, strategic, and collaborative leader who has made the needs and interests of students paramount in everything that she has accomplished.”

Professor Brickhouse is a magna cum laude graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she majored in chemistry. She holds a master’s degree in chemistry and a doctorate in science education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
