Three Women Promoted to Associate Professor and Awarded Tenure at Pomona College

pomonaPomona College, the highly rated liberal arts educational institution in Claremont, California, has announced the promotions of six faculty members to the rank of associate professor. All six faculty members were awarded tenure. Three of the six promotions were awarded to women.

auerbach1-largeLisa Anne Auerbach was promoted to associate professor of art. Professor Auerbach’s art includes photography and knitted symbols. She is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and earned a master of fine arts degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

BorelliJessica L. Borelli was named an associate professor of psychology. Dr. Borelli joined the faculty at Pomona College in 2009. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. from Yale University.

Tannenbaum_photoJulie Tannenbaum was appointed associate professor of philosophy. She joined the college’s faculty in 2009 after teaching at California State University, Northridge. Dr. Tannenbaum is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and she also earned a Ph.D. in philosophy at UCLA.
