Three Women in High-Level University Posts Announce Their Retirements

flanaganElizabeth A. Flanagan, vice president for development and university relations at Virginia Tech, has announced that she will step down from her post on June 30. At that time she will assume the role of senior fellow for advancement. Flanagan joined the staff at Virginia Tech in 2000.

Flanagan is a graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia, where she doubled majored in sociology and Spanish. She holds master’s degrees from West Virginia University and the University of Virginia.

JudySchwabJudy Schwab, associate vice chancellor for administration at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, has announced that she will retire on July 31, 2015. She has served in her current post since 2008 and has served in the university’s administration since 1998.

Schwab is a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas.

KleinsprgeIlene Kleinsorge, the holder of the Sara Hart Kimball Chair in the College of Business and the executive dean of the Division of Business at Oregon State University, announced that she will retire on June 30. Dr. Kleinsorge joined the faculty at Oregon State in 1987 as an assistant professor of accounting.

Dr. Kelinsorge is a graduate of Emporia State University in Kansas. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
