Barnard College Debuts a New Digital Archive Documenting the College’s History

Barnard College, the highly rated liberal arts college for women in New York City, has launched a new digital archive covering 125 years of women’s education. The archive includes a collection of photographs depicting people and events at Barnard and the surrounding community. It also includes a digitized searchable database of the Barnard Bulletin, the weekly student newspaper. Digitized issues go back to 1901. Also included in the new digital archive is the college’s annual yearbook, The Mortarboard.

Martha Tenney, digital archivist at Barnard College, stated that “the digital collections make’s Barnard’s vibrant history more easily accessible to alumnae, the wider Barnard community, and researchers everywhere.”
