The New President of San Bernardino Valley College in California

FisherThe board of trustees of the San Bernardino Community College District has unanimously approved the selection of Gloria Fisher as the 14th president of San Bernardino Valley College. Fisher has been serving as interim president of the college since July and has served on the college’s faculty and staff for the past 23 years.

San Bernardino Valley College is a two-year, state-operated institution that enrolls more than 12,000 students. Women make up 55 percent of the student body.

Fisher joined the faculty at San Bernardino Valley College in 1991 as an instructor in the administration of justice program. She became chair of the department in 1994 and was named dean of the Criminal Justice Division in 2001.

A graduate of California State University, Bernardino, Fisher earned a juris doctorate at the San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno, California.
