A Trio of Women Appointed to Endowed Professorships

packerTina Packer was named the Rev. J. Donald Monan S.J. Professor in Theatre Arts at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She is the founding artistic director of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Packer is the co-author of Power Plays: Shakespeare’s Lessons in Leadership and Management (Simon & Schuster, 2000).

Professor Packer is a native of England and was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

russ_sandySandra Russ was appointed the Louis D. Beaumont Distinguished University Professor in the department of psychological sciences at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been on the university’s faculty for nearly 40 years and has served as associate provost and interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Russ holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

uhl-bienMary Uhl-Bien was named the BNSF Railway Endowed Professor of Leadership at the Neeley School of Business of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She had held the Howard Hawks Chair in Business Ethics and Leadership at the University of Nebraska.

Dr. Uhl-Bien holds a bachelor’s degree, an MBA, and a Ph.D., all from the University of Cincinnati.
