Tricia Bent-Goodley Named Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Social Work

Tricia Bent-Goodley, professor of social work and director of the doctoral program in social work at Howard University in Washington, D.C., was named editor-in-chief of the journal Social Work, the official publication of the National Association of Social Workers. She will serve a four-year term.

Dr. Bent-Goodley also serves as director of the Howard University Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program and the chair of the university’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.

Dr. Bent-Goodley is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York. She received a master of social work degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in social policy, planning, and analysis from Columbia University.
