University of Cincinnati’s Christy Holland to Lead the Acoustical Society of America

Christy Holland was named president-elect of the Acoustical Society of America. The society has more than 7,500 members worldwide. The society publishes the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, which produces about 7,000 pages per year on theoretical and experimental research in the study of sound.

Dr. Holland is a professor in the division of cardiovascular health and diseases at the University of Cincinnati. She is also associate director of research for the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute.

Professor Holland is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in engineering and applied science from Yale University.
