Karen Rafinski to Lead Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio

Karen Rafinski was named interim president of Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio. The college enrolls about 2,475 students and women make up 65 percent of the student body.

Most recently, Dr. Rafinski has served as interim president of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges. Earlier, she was president of Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio, for 16 years.

Dr. Rafinski is a graduate of Minnesota State University at Moorhead. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, a master of public administration degree from Harvard University, and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota.
