Huda Zoghbi Wins the $250,000 March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology

Huda Y. Zoghbi, director of the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital and a professor of molecular and human genetics at the Baylor University College of Medicine, has been selected to receive the 2014 March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology for her research on birth defects. The award comes with a silver medal and a $250,000 cash prize.

Dr. Zoghbi received her medical training at the American University of Beirut and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
