University of Georgia’s Charlotte Mason Named Educator of the Year

charlotte-masonCharlotte Mason, professor of marketing and the holder of the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Chair of Business Administration in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, was selected to receive the Robert B. Clarke Educator of the Year by Marketing EDGE, a New York City-based nonprofit organization formerly known as the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation. Professor Mason will be honored at the association’s marketing research summit in San Diego this October.

Professor Mason also serves as the director of the Coca-Cola Center for Marketing Studies at the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Georgia in 2008, she served for 23 years on the faculty at the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Mason is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in industrial engineering. She holds master’s degrees in industrial engineering and statistics and a Ph.D. in business, all from Stanford University.
