Two Women at Virginia Tech Awarded Emerita Status

annemooreAnne H. Moore, associate vice president for learning technologies at Virginia Tech, was awarded emerita status. She has been on the staff at the university since 1995.

Dr. Moore holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

schlenkerEleanor Schlenker was named professor emerita of human nutrition, foods, and exercise. She joined the Virginia Tech faculty in 1988. Dr. Schlenker textbook Nutrition in Aging is now in its third edition and has been translated into Spanish for the South American market. She is also the co-editor of Williams Essentials of Nutrition and Diet Therapy, now in its tenth edition.

Dr. Schlenker is a graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. She earned a master’s degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and a doctorate at Michigan State University.
