Triton College President to Retire at the End of 2014

DrGranadosPatricia Granados, president of Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, has announced that she will step down on December 31, 2014. The two-year college near Chicago enrolls about 14,000 students. Women make up 57 percent of the student body

Dr. Granados joined the staff at the college in 1984 as director of Nuevos Horizontes, a community center in Melrose Park. She later served as vice president of academic affairs and student services before being named president of the college in 2001.

Dr. Granados holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish translation and business, a master’s degree in education, and a doctorate in adult and higher education. all from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
