University of Iowa Economics Professor Is a Finalist for Provost At North Dakota State University

North Dakota State University has announced the selection of four candidates for the post of provost. All four candidates are visiting campus in the first two weeks of April for public forums and interviews. One of the four finalists is a woman.

IngramM. Beth Ingram is the Henry B. Tippie Professor of Economics, associate provost for undergraduate education, and dean of the University College at the University of Iowa. She served as chair of the department of economics from 2003 to 2006. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Iowa in 1988, she taught at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Professor Ingram is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she majored in economics and mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota.
