Guttman Community College in Manhattan Announces the Appointment of Three Women Administrators

guttman-brandGuttman Community College on the Westside of Manhattan in New York City has announced the appointment of three women to administrative posts.

LariansLarian Angelo was appointed vice president for administration and finance. She is the former chief economist for the Finance Division of the New York City Council. Dr. Angelo received a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York system and a Ph.D. in economics from the New School for Social Research.

AliotoKathleen Sullivan Alioto was appointed consulting vice president of development at the community college. She served as dean of development at City College of San Francisco for more than 13 years. She is the former president of the Boston School Committee. A graduate of the Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart, Dr. Alioto earned an educational doctorate at Harvard University.

LucariellaJoan M. Lucariello is serving as interim provost and vice president for academic affairs. She was serving as university dean for education at the City University of New York. She is a professor of psychology and educational psychology at the CUNY Graduate Center. Before joining the CUNY faculty in 2009, Dr. Lucariello taught at the New School, Boston College, and UCLA. Professor Lucariello holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the City University of New York. She is the co-editor of The Development of the Mediated Mind: Sociocultural Context and Cognitive Development (Psychology Press, 2004).
