Martha Asselin to Lead Schenectady County Community College

Martha AsselinThe board of trustees of the State University of New York has chosen Martha Asselin to serve as acting president of Schenectady County Community College. Her appointment is effective on March 5 and will last for 12 months or until the board finds a permanent president. The college enrolls about 6,700 students and women make up 56 percent of the student body.

Dr. Asselin has been on the staff at the college since 1990 and currently serves as vice president for student affairs. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego and holds master’s and doctoral degrees from the University at Albany of the State University of New York system.
