Four Women Holding New Administrative Positions in Higher Education

LuisaColinLuisa Colin was named the leader of the family and consumer science program for the southern region of the Texas A&M University AgriLife Extension Service. Since 2005, she has been an extension agent in the expanded food and nutrition program in Hidalgo County, Texas.

Colin holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human sciences from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She is working toward a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg.

shabazzKhalilah A. Shabazz was promoted to director of the Multicultural Success Center at Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis. She has been on the staff at the university since 2001 and served most recently as director of the diversity enrichment and achievement program at the University College.

Shabazz holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees and is completing work on an educational doctorate, all from Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis.

Jacqueline_JenkinsJacqueline M. Jenkins was appointed director of graduate studies at LIM College in New York City. She will oversee the MBA program and the master of professional development studies programs in fashion merchandising and fashion marketing.

Jenkins was the program director of the Small Business Development Center at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, where she majored in marketing. Jenkins earned an MBA at the Wharton School.

ingrid-hayesIngrid Hayes is the new vice president for enrollment management at Spelman College in Atlanta. She is the former associate vice president for enrollment management at the college. For the past three years, Hayes was assistant provost for enrollment services at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Hayes is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where she majored in English literature. She holds a master’s degree in the social foundations of education from Georgia State University.
