Betsy Oudenhoven Named President of the Community College of Aurora

OudenhovenThe Community College System of Colorado has announced that Betsy Oudenhoven is the new president of the Community College of Aurora. Dr. Oudenhoven has served as interim president of the college for the past five months. The college, located just east of Denver, enrolls about 8,000 students. According to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Education, women make up 58 percent of the student body,

Before coming to the Community College of Aurora, Dr. Oudenhoven was vice president of student development at Joliet Junior College in Illinois. Earlier, she was dean of counseling at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois.

Dr. Oudenhoven is a graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where she majored in psychology. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a doctorate in higher education from Loyola University of Chicago.
