Kristin Woolever Named to Lead Penn State Brandywine

WooleverKristin Woolever was appointed chancellor of Pennsylvania State University Brandywine in Media, Pennsylvania. The campus, located in suburban Philadelphia, enrolls about 1,600 undergraduate students.

Dr. Woolever will begin her new job on February 1. For the past three years she has been serving at president of Prescott College in Arizona. Previously, she was dean and director of the campus of the University of New Hampshire-Manchester and director of the Centre for Creative Change at Antioch University in Seattle. Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years at Northeastern University in Boston as a professor of English and in several administrative posts.

Dr. Woolever is a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Pittsburgh.
