Honors for Barnard College Mathematician Dusa McDuff

Dusa_McDuffDusa McDuff, the Helen Lyttle Kimmel ’42 Professor of Mathematics at Barnard College in New York City, was honored with induction into the American Philosophical Society. She also was selected to deliver a series of lectures at the January 2014 Joint Mathematical Meetings in Baltimore, an annual conference hosted by the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. Her lecture series will focus on symplectic geometry. The notes for her forthcoming lecture series can be viewed here.

Professor McDuff joined the Barnard faculty in 2007. She is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in England.
