Notre Dame’s Joan F. Brennecke Receives Award From the American Chemical Society

brenneckJoan F. Brennecke, the Keating-Crawford Professor of Chemical and Molecular Engineering and the director of the Center for Sustainable Emergy at the University of Notre Dame, is the recipient of the E.V. Murphee Award in Industrial and Engineering Chemistry from the American Chemical Society. Professor Brennecke was honored for her outstanding research in the development of solvents including supercritical fluids and iconic liquids.

Dr. Brennecke has been on the faculty at the University of Notre Dame since 1989. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois.
