University of Hawaii Scholar Honored by the American Psychological Association

YeeBarbara Yee, chair of the department of family and consumer science in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, received the James Jones Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Psychological Association. The award was presented at the association’s annual meeting in Honolulu. Professor Yee was honored for “longstanding and distinguished contributions to the field of racial and ethnic minority psychology through teaching and training.”

Dr. Yee is a graduate of the University of Hawaii. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Denver.
