Two Women Named to Key Teaching Posts at the University of Denver College of Business

The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver has appointed two women to important positions.

jacksonBarbara Jackson was named the director of the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. She is a former professor in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Dr. Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in construction management from Colorado State University.

sharon-alvarezSharon Alvarez was appointed to the Koch Chair in Entrepreneurship in the department of management. She was an associate professor of management and entrepreneurship and academic director for the Center for Entrepreneurship at Ohio State University.

Professor Alvarez holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Denver.
