New Sexual Misconduct Policy in Effect at the University of Michigan

University_of_Michigan-Ann_ArborA new sexual misconduct policy is now in effect at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In the past, incidents of sexual misconduct were not formally investigated by the university unless asked to do so by the complainant. Now the university’s Title IX coordinator will review all incidents of sexual misconduct that come to the attention of university officials.

During the 2011-12 academic year, there were 62 incidents of sexual misconduct reported to university officials. Among these incidents were 38 allegations of sexual assault.
