Two Women Join the Sports Coaching Education Faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi

usmlogo_newThe School of Human Performance and Recreation at the University of Southern Mississippi has announced the hiring of five new faculty members for the current academic year. Two of the five new faculty members are women.

Melanie Perrault joins the sports coaching education faculty at the university. She is a graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, where she majored in psychology. Dr. Perrault earned a master’s degree in educational psychology at Florida State University and recently completed her doctorate in physical education from the University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on motor skills development in children and adolescents.

Helen Grant was appointed to the sports coaching education faculty at the university’s Gulf Coast campus. She has been a visiting faculty member at the university for the past two academic years. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in physical education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
