Penn State Professor Named Editor of a Prestigious Academic Journal

Wilkinson-KristaKrista Wilkinson, professor of communication sciences and disorders at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, has been named editor of the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology. She was an associate editor of the journal from 2004 to 2010.

Dr. Wilkinson’s research is focused on language development in individuals with severe intellectual or development disabilities. She has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles.

Professor Wilkinson is a graduate of Brown University, where she majored in linguistics and cognitive sciences. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
