Lots of Women at the University of Georgia’s White Coat Ceremonies

UGA-University-of-Georgia-1785-seal-variantWomen make up large percentages of the entering students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia this fall. At recent “White Coat” ceremonies initiating students into their new professions, there were 72 women among the 102 students at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Thus, women made up nearly 71 percent of the first-year class.

At the College of Pharmacy, women were 65.5 percent of the students donning white coats.
