In Memoriam: Kay Moeckly Wiggins, 1934-2013

Kay Moeckly Wiggins, a long-time faculty member at the College of Nursing at Syracuse University, died last month in Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was 79 years old.

Dr. Wiggins was a native of Amherst, South Dakota. She was a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and earned a master’s degree in nursing education from New York University and a Ph.D. in child and family studies from Syracuse University.

Professor Wiggins joined the faculty in the College of Nursing at Syracuse University in 1964. She continued to teach there for 31 years, retiring from Syracuse University in 1995 as professor emerita.
