Four Women Promoted to Full Professor at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania

lhuLock Haven University is one of 14 campuses that make up the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. It enrolls about 5,000 undergraduate students and women make up 57 percent of the student body. The university has announced the promotions of eight faculty members to the rank of full professor. Four of the new full professors are women.

Kathleen Allison was named full professor of health sciences. She holds a master of public health degree from the University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. in health studies from Texas Woman’s University.

Patricia Lally was promoted to full professor of sports studies. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Ottawa and a Ph.D. in exercise science from the University of Toronto.

Christine Remley was named full professor of Pre-K-8 and professional education.

Tamson Six was promoted to full professor of criminal justice. She is chair of the criminal justice department at the university and received her doctorate at the University of Virginia.
