The University of Massachusetts at Amherst received a three-year $225,000 grant from the United Way of Pioneer Valley for its Eureka! program. The State of New Jersey has pledged $500,000 for a college scholarship program to benefit women and minority students in construction-related fields at the state’s 19 county colleges. The program will provide up to $2,000 for women and minority students who are residents of New Jersey and are enrolled in eligible certificate programs in construction-related fields. The scholarships can be renewed for a second year.
